49ers softball gives back at Habitat for Humanity

Charlotte, N.C.- The Charlotte 49ers softball team volunteered their time along with many of the other athletic squads and students to participate in Habitat for Humanity on campus.

The softball team took place in a cross campus home build during homecoming weekend. Coach Aimee DeVos and the rest of the 49ers softball team helped with putting shingles on the roof as well as gutter boards in the finishing stages of the house.  "The team was excited and eager to help with the project.  All the players and coaches we anxious to work and did a great job," said Coach Aimee DeVos.

The house was donated during halftime of the 49ers football game against UNC Pembroke last Saturday to a family in the Charlotte area in need.
