The 49ers posted their first-ever win over a nationally-ranked opponent.

#24/#25 Gardner-Webb was the first ranked opponent to play in Jerry Richardson Stadium

The 49ers, who trailed 45-24, came back from 21 points down in the fourth quarter -- scoring 29 consecutive points – an early favorite to sit as the 49ers greatest comeback for years to come.
