The Charlotte 49ers men's tennis team (6-5) returns to action after an 11-day Spring Break layoff with matches against Catawba and Wingate at the Halton-Wagner-Tennis Complex, Monday, March 11. First, the 49ers play Catawba at 1 pm. Then, the 49ers conclude the doubleheader against Wingate at 3 pm.
"Spring break came at a good time for us this year," Charlotte coach Billy Boykin said. "We needed to rest and heal up a little bit physically. We've been taking advantage of the down time to get in some great practice. We're really looking forward to both matches tomorrow."
Jordi Massalle Ferrer, who has won six straight matches, leads the 49ers with 18 singles wins. Jack Williams has 13 singles win. Alex Calott and Paul Cisti, who has won four straight matches, each have 12 singles wins.
Kamil Khalil and Krzysztof Kwasniewicz, who have won four straight matches, have combined for a team-leading seven doubles wins. Massalle Ferrer and Williams have posted a 6-1 doubles record this season. The doubles team of Calott and Cisti have combined for five doubles wins.
