PHILADELPHIA, PA - Chris Braswell led five 49ers in double-figures but the Charlotte 49ers (17-5, A-10: 5-3) late rally fell short in an 89-88 loss at Temple (15-7, A-10: 4-4).
"We fought to the bitter end," Charlotte coach Alan Major said. "We let Temple feel good early in the game. From that 18-5 early deficit, we pretty much outplayed them from an offensive standpoint. I just felt like defensively we did not have the multiple stops that we normally have. However, to Temple's credit they had a couple of guys step up and make big shots."
