49ers Complete Two Days of Charleston Challenge

Charleston, SC- The Charlotte 49ers men's tennis team has won 11 singles matches and six doubles matches over the first two days of the Charleston Challenge at the College of Charleston Tennis Center.

In Flight One singles, Charlotte's Jordi Massalle Ferrer defeated Appalachian State's Sebastian King, 7-6 (5), 6-4 on Friday. Then, he defeated Wofford's Jackson Keith, 6-2, 7-6 (4) on Saturday.

In Flight Two singles, Charlotte's Jack Williams defeated Appalachian State's Zach Bost, 7-6, 4-6, 6-1. Then, Williams defeated Wofford's Drew Superstein, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2.

In Flight Three singles, Charlotte's Forrest Edwards defeated Appalachian State's Andrew McKinnon, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4. Then, Edwards lost to Wofford's Rob Galloway, 6-2, 7-6 (7).

In Flight Four singles, Charlotte's Paul Cisti defeated Appalachian State's Robert Jenkins, 7-5, 6-3. Then, he lost to Wofford's Graham Duncan in three hard fought sets, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4.

In Flight Five singles, Charlotte's Alex Calott defeated Appalachian State's Steven Lake, 7-5, 6-1. Then, he defeated Wofford's Walker Heffron, 6-4, 6-3.

In Flight Six singles, Charlotte's Krysztof Kwasniewicz defeated Appalachian State's Tyler Pyle, 6-3, 6-2. Then, he lost to Wofford's David Sklar, 6-3, 6-2.

In Flight Seven singles, Charlotte's Nate Shanok defeated College of Charleston's Billy Kenny, 7-5, 6-0. Then, he defeated Wofford's Joey Francis, 6-1, 7-6 (5).

In Flight Eight singles, Charlotte's Alex Weber lost to College of Charleston's Matt Daly, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. Then, he lost to Wofford's Tom Wood, 7-6 (9), 6-1.

In Flight One doubles, Charlottes Ferrer and Williams defeated Appalachian State's Bost and King, 8-3. Then, they defeated Wofford's Keith and Galloway, 8-6.

In Flight Two doubles, Charlotte's Cisti and Kwasniewicz lost to Appalachian State's Jenkins and McKinnon, 9-8. Then, they defeated Wofford's Duncan and Heffron, 8-5.

In Flight Three doubles, Charlotte's Edwards and Calott defeated Appalachian State's Lake and Pyle, 8-4. Then, they defeated Wofford's Sklar and Superstein, 8-4.

In Flight Four doubles, Charlotte's Kamil Khalil and Weber defeated Wofford's Wood and Francis, 8-4.
