Davis named to National Team of the Week

Goalkeeper Klay Davis was named to's National Team of the Week after recording two shutouts in a pair of crucial Atlantic 10 road games over the weekend.

He helped Charlotte record 1-0 wins over Saint Louis and Butler. He made seven saves, six of which were against Saint Louis who took 14 shots in the game on Friday.

Davis has tallied 41 saves this year and recorded 8.1 shutouts. He yields a 0.67 goals against average and has limited his opponents to only 12 goals this year.

This marks the first time that Davis has been named to's National Team of the Week. He is the second 49er to receive the honor this season.

Charlotte concludes the A-10 regular season on Saturday, Nov. 3 as it hosts George Washington at Transamerica Field, beginning at 5 p.m.
