Charlotte, N.C. - Another successful day by the Charlotte 49ers at the 49ers Invitational.

Charlotte's Jack Williams, Jordi Massalle Ferrer and Alex Calott improved to 2-0 in singles. While the doubles teams of Kamil Khalil and Krzysztof Kwasniewicz, Calott and Paul Cisti and Massalle Ferrer and Alex Weber improved to 2-0 in doubles.

In Flight One Singles, Charlotte's Jack Williams defeated Winthrop's Yuta Hirokawa, 7-6 (5), 6-2.

In Flight Two Singles, Charlotte's Kamil Khalil lost to Winthrop's Pater Nagovnak, 7-6 (6), 6-1.

In Flight Three Singles, Charlotte's Forrest Edwards lost to Winthrop's Dylan Comerford, 2-6, 7-5, 6-3.

In Flight Four Singles, Charlotte's Paul Cisti defeated Winthrop's Michael Chen, 5-7, 6-2, 6-2.

In Flight Five Singles, Charlotte's Jordi Massalle Ferrer defeated Winthrop's Steven Patrick, 7-6 (4), 6-2.

In Flight Six Singles, Charlotte's Alex Calott defeated Winthrop's Chase Altieri, 6-0, 6-1.

In Flight Seven Singles, Charlotte's  Krzysztof Kwasniewicz defeated teammate Nate Shanok, 7-6 (7), 6-3.

In Flight Eight Singles, Charlotte's Alex Weber defeated Winthrop's J.D. O'Brien, 6-2, 6-3.

In Flight One Doubles action, Charlotte's Williams/Edwards lost to Winthrop's Nagovnak/Comerford, 8-5.

In Flight Two Doubles, Charlotte's Khalil/Kwasniewicz defeated Winthrop's Chen/Patrick, 8-2.

In Flight Three Doubles, Charlotte's Calott/Cisti defeated Winthrop's Hirokawa/Altieri, 8-4.

In Flight Four Doubles, Charlotte's Weber/Massalle Ferrer defeated Charlotte's Linares and Winthrop's O'Brien, 9-8 (4).

 Day Two of the 49ers Invitational resumes tomorrow, Sunday, September 16 when the 49ers face Gardner-Webb with singles play beginning at 11 am.
