Brett Hall, who has served as volunteer assistant baseball coach the past five seasons for Charlotte, has been named an assistant coach with Louisburg College this week.
Hall, the younger brother to associate head coach and recruiting coordinator Brandon Hall, has coached third base the previous three seasons after coaching first during his first two seasons with Charlotte. He has also helped with field maintenance, worked with fielders on their defense and managed equipment while with the 49ers.
"Brett has done a good job with us in many aspects," said Charlotte head coach Loren Hibbs. "It is great for him to be able to moving forward in his coaching career."
Hall with join new head coach Keith Shumate, the former head coach at North Carolina A&T, with the Hurricanes in time for the start of the school year at Louisburg.
The search for Hall's replacement at Charlotte begins immediately.
In other Charlotte coaching news, outgoing senior Ross Steedley has landed a coaching position at nearby Pfeiffer University and former 49er and Cleveland Indian Jason Stanford has accepted a coaching position with Youngstown State University baseball.
