The Charlotte 49ers track and field team will compete in the Raleigh Relays this Friday and Saturday at NC State's Derr Track. The meet kicked off at 9:45 a.m. Friday morning with the women's 5,000m and will continue Saturday morning with the men's 3,000m race walk at 9:30 a.m.

Charlotte returns to action after competing in the Weems Baskin Invitational in Columbia last weekend. There, rookie Trey McRae shined as the winner of the high jump (6'8.75), earning Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors and moving to third all-time in school history in the event. Additionally, freshman Juanita Leto captured the female A10 Rookie honors with a fourth place finish in the 100m hurdles (14.42).

While the Weems Baskin meet consisted of mostly field performers, the Raleigh Relays will give Charlotte's stellar relay teams a chance to compete instead.
