Season-opening women’s tennis postponed
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers women's tennis team will have to wait at least another day for the start of its 2013 campaign, as Friday's scheduled match with Radford has been postponed. Due to inclement weather blanketing the Carolinas and Virginia throughout the day Friday, travel has become an issue and the two teams decided not to go ahead with the match, which was slated for 5 p.m. in Davidson, N.C.

As of this time, no rescheduled date has been confirmed; however, the two programs are working on finding a mutual opening on the calendar to make-up the match.

Charlotte is now slated to open the season at 1 p.m. Saturday when it plays host to North Carolina Central at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex. The match may be delayed slightly if weather continues through the morning; however, those plans will not be announced until shortly before the match begins.
