Nagy Opens Play in Palmer Cup, Thursday

First round four-ball pairings for the 2010 Palmer Cup at Royal Portrush Golf Club have been announced following Wednesday's opening ceremony. The first match of the Ryder Cup-style competition between collegiate golfers will tee off at 7:30.

The opening match will pit Henrik Norlander and Pontus Widegren, both of Danderyd, Sweden, against Scott Langley and Charlotte 49ers senior all-America Corey Nagy. They will be followed by Rhys Enoch of Wales and Italy's Andrea Pavan versus John Chin and Daniel Miernicki. The third bout will pair Sweden's David Lingmerth and Patrick Spraggs of England. They will face the American duo of David Chung and Jonathan Randolph. The final group of the morning will consist of Arizona State teammates James Byrne of Scotland and Jesper Kennegard of Sweden against the USA's Tyson Alexander and Russell Henley.

Afternoon foursomes matches will begin at 14:00 with to be determined pairings.
