Asheville, NC – Charlotte behind two goals by Kyle Parker and Brandt Bronico and goals by Zhuvonte Wilson, Biko Bradnock-Brennan and Dominic Bonilla cruised past UNC Asheville, 7-0, on the road in an exhibition game.
“I was really pleased with our ball movement,” Charlotte coach Kevin Langan said. “I pleased with our fitness level in today’s game. It was great to see goals scored by a variety of our offensive players. Overall it was a good performance tonight.”
Parker scored the first of his two goals when he scored on a shot from 10 yards out off assists by Nick Barnhorst and Bonilla in the seventh minute.
Bronico scored his first goal when he put a shot into the back of the net from six yards out in the 13th minute. Barnhorst recorded his second assist of the game on Bronico’s goal.
Bronico gave the 49ers a 3-0 lead when he scored an unassisted goal in the 27th minute.
Wilson scored off a Bronico assist in the 32nd minute pushing the 49ers lead to 4-0.
Bradnock-Brennan gave the 49ers a 5-0 lead when he corralled a deflection and put the ball into the back of the net in the 35th minute.
Parker scored his second goal of the game when he converted a penalty kick in the 44th minute.
Bonilla closed out the scoring with a goal in the 73rd minute.
Charlotte finished the game with a 23-5 advantage in shots and a 15-2 advantage in shots in the first half. Bronico led the 49ers with five shots. Monbo Bokar and Parker each had four shots.
Charlotte plays Davidson on the road in their final exhibition game, Saturday, August 23 at 7 pm.
