|Women’s basketball summer notebook – volume two|
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – It’s time once again for the annual Charlotte women’s basketball summer notebook series. Each of these notebooks is designed to catch 49ers fans up with the latest happenings in and around the women’s basketball program, which is aiming for its 13th-consecutive postseason appearance in 2014-15 under the direction of fourth-year head coach Cara Consuegra.
The full schedule has now been announced, since our last notebook edition. The Niners will play 14 home games, five non-conference and nine Conference USA contests, in the program’s 40th season in 2014-15. Charlotte has won at least 10 home games in each of the last 12 years, dating back to the 2002-03 campaign. For full schedule information, click HERE or HERE. Busy with Videos
New video coordinator Eric Besserman has kept himself busy since being hired, documenting the team’s off-season workout program. Former Player Joins Program
Ashley Spriggs-Brown, class of 2010, has joined the Charlotte women’s basketball family as its administrative assistant beginning in 2014-15. Spriggs was a member of four postseason squads, including the 2009 NCAA Tournament team.
She completed her career with 6.1 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. She ranks seventh in program history with 123 games played.
