CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A busy month of June awaits the Charlotte women’s basketball program, as it plays host to its annual summer camps during a two-week stretch. The 49ers camps this year include a one-day Elite Camp, a four-day Individual Day Camp and a three-day Team Camp, all held inside campus facilities.
The Elite Camp will be held June 13 inside Halton Arena and the Hayward Practice Facility with cost set at $50, including lunch. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and the camp runs all day until 5 p.m.
After taking a couple days off, the month continues with the annual Individual Day Camp June 16-19, also inside Halton Arena and the Hayward Practice Facility. The camp for ages 7-12, which costs $200 and features an early bird special price of $150 if participants sign up before April 28, will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. the first three days before concluding with a 9 a.m.-Noon session on the final day. Lunch each day is available for purchase at $10 or campers can bring their own. UNC Charlotte faculty and staff with children receive a discounted rate, as do siblings.
Lastly, the Team Camp will be held inside Halton Arena and the Hayward Practice Facility June 20-22. Due to being limited to just these two on-campus facilities, the first day will run 1-10 p.m., second day from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. and the last day from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Times are subject to change depending on how many teams sign up.
Cost for the Team Camp varies depending on how many days a team is planning to attend, starting at a $100 team fee plus $15 per player, which includes a guarantee of at least three games. A two-day cost is $150 team fee plus $15 per player and includes a guarantee of at least five games. Finally, a squad can sign up for all three days for a $200 team fee plus $15 per player with a guarantee of at least seven games.
Non-refundable deposits for all camps can be made payable to Cara Consuegra LLC and are due by May 31. All forms, including a required medical release form, are available by visiting the camp page here. More information about each camp is also available through that link.
