At Apalachee High: Ranked the fifth-best recruit in the state of Georgia and the 33rd -ranked power forward in the nation by first-team All-Northeast Georgia honors as a senior, averaged 16.9 points and 9.3 rebounds per game...Earned second-team All-Northeast Georgia honors as a junior...As a senior, Blakely, who was a three-year starter, led Apalachee to a 17-10 record and a return trip to the 5A state playoffs after a four-year absence...Scored in double-figures in all 27 games and he led his team in scoring 23 times as a senior...In the final seven games of his senior season, he averaged 19.1 points, 12.6 rebounds and 3.9 blocks per game...Recorded 18 double-doubles and had 14 games with five or more blocked shots as a senior...Not only does he excel on the court but in the classroom as well since he earned Apalachee High School Scholar-Athlete honors....Finished his career with 1,100 points, 894 rebounds and a school-record 397 blocks...Father, Anthony, played at Mississippi State in the 1980s and then he played professional basketball for 13 years.
