Charlotte volleyball senior Jenna Litoborski and junior Amanda Videmsek were both named to the Atlantic 10 Conference All-Academic Team, the league announced Thursday. Of the seven-person squad, Charlotte was one of three institutions to land two on the list.
Litoborski cracked the 1,000-career digs plateau, the 17th in school history on that list, in Charlotte's final home match of 2012. She moved up one spot to finish 16th in career digs at Charlotte. In the classroom, the libero from Lemont, Ill. has posted a 3.94 cumulative grade point average in her major of math - actuarial science. She played in all but one set for the season, with 397 digs and a 4.41 digs-per-set average, good enough for fourth-best in a single-season in team history and fourth-best in the league this season.
Videmsek, a co-captain, led the squad with 294 kills, a .258 attack percentage and 59 blocks in 2012. The native of Highland Heights, Ohio boasts a 3.95 GPA in exercise science. She was eighth in the league in kills per set (3.23) and points per set this season.
The 49ers season finished last Thursday night at VCU.
