The Charlotte 49ers men's tennis team is competing in the ITA Regionals this weekend at the Cary Tennis Center in Cary, North Carolina. The 49ers will have six players competing in singles and three doubles teams competing this weekend. The ITA Carolina Regional Championship consists of the top singles and doubles players from Division I Colleges in North and South Carolina.

"We are excited about competing in the Regional Championships this weekend," Boykin said.  "We've been working hard in practice and are looking forward to some good match play.  There are a number of strong teams in our region and this tournament will feature some of the region's top players.  We have to be prepared to play from the first serve."

Senior Kryzsztof Kwasniewicz, sophomores Alex Calott and Jack Williams and freshman Jordi Massalle Ferrer begin singles play on Thursday, October 18  at 9 am. Sophomore Paul Cisti will play his first match, Thursday  at 10:30 am. Then, sophomore Forrest Edwards will play his first match, Thursday  at 11 am.

The doubles teams of sophomore Kamil Khalil and Kwasniewicz, Calott and Cisti and Williams and Edwards will also be in action this weekend as well.
