"Throughout my search I talked to a lot of people and Angela Crosby's name was one that consistently came up," Charlotte coach Cara Consuegra said. "Angela has a great reputation as a recruiter especially in the southeast region. She was a very good player who will be able to mentor and develop our post players. She has an amazing ability to connect with people and has an energy about her that is contagious. Angela operates with integrity and class. She will be a great ambassador for the University and the 49ers women's basketball program."
Crosby came to Charlotte after spending the last three seasons as a member of the Virginia Tech coaching staff. She primarily worked with the post players at Virginia Tech. She was also involved with scouting, recruiting and monitoring the student-athletes academic progress during her three seasons.

We look forward to continuing the tradition that Charlotte will be proud of and continue to support."
