At Charlotte -2012: His 20 appearances (team was 6-14 in those games) were third-most on the team... Long appearance of the season was 4.1 innings and 50 pitches, at Wake Forest, on 5/15... Struck out a season-high four batters, limiting the Demon Deacons to three hits and no runs in the outing... Did not allow an earned run in 13 appearances... Never gave up more than three hits in an outing, not allowing a single hit in seven outings... Only decision of the season was a late home loss to Wake Forest, on 4/11.

Summer Ball, 2012: Earned a spot in the Coastal Plains League All-Star Game

2011: Tied for second on the team with 18 appearences (team was 10-8 in those games)... Did not allow an earned run in 13 of 18 games played... Only win of season came in 3-2 11-inning win at La Salle on 5/13... Lowered career earned run average by more than a run... Tied career high with seven strikeouts at home against UNC Asheville on 3/5... It was his longest outing of season and resulted in his first career save... Second on the team with eight games finished... Tossed one pitch for his second and final save of season, inheriting a runner and inducing a ground ball double play to end a 4-3 road game at Winthrop on 4/26... Led the team in batting average against with two outs in an inning (4-for-30 for a .133 average)... Led pichers without a start in ground ball double plays (five).

2010: Finished 5th on team with 22 appearances, which included three starts (team was 1-2 in his starts and 13-9 in games in which he appeared)... Did not allow a run in 10 of his appearances, including five of first six... Allowed at least one run in last seven and eight of last nine appearances... Longest career outing was his first career start, a five-inning outing on April 20 at home to Wake Forest... Also struck out a career-high seven batters in that contest... Struck out three or more batters five times... Did not allow a walk in half of his career appearances, including five straight from March 31 to April 17... Tossed a career-long 8.1 consecutive scoreless innings from April 6-20... Earned first career win in relief appearance at home to Harvard on March 21... Athletic Director's List (Fall).

At South Stanly: Won the 2009 North Carolina 1A State Title in 2009, upending Topsail High in a best-of-three series and finishing with a 25-6 record as Hatley was named the series MVP... Was All-State and All-Rocky River Conference... Set the school record with 141 strikeouts... Finished 8-3 with four saves, tossing 82.2 innings with a 1.10 ERA.

Personal: Parents are Amy and Mike Hatley... Uncle Todd played in the Minnesota Twins organization for several years... Major is criminal justice... Born March 28.
